I love technology........and boy, do i miss it. I'm in my 'summer residence' (lol) and typing away on a computer that is a remnant from the dark ages. seriously, its running like windows 98, the screen freezes every 10 minutes, and there's nothing i can do to stop it. you can't even listen to cd's, let alone burn them or download them, and to make y life even more hellish i have to endure the fact that i know its running on a broadband connection and wasting it completely. my songs play at a qurter speed, at best. this is a dire situation.
how i long to return to my 'non-summer abode' (lol) where i have a nice purty G5 and a G4 laptop and none of this utter hassle.
however, there is one good thing about this hell, and thats that i am using windows again, i'm a total mac addict ya see (music recording dictates that one). and i'm realising how much better the mac interface is from lowly windows. why do people buy these crap operating systems? bear in mind that i am on crappy 98 and nothing more recent, but i've used those too, and they're all just shoddy imitations of mac os's from about 3 years ealier.
geez, i just wish i could find those darned broadband connection discs so i could get my laptop logged on to this connection.....
Conatus
update: i have a minor success.....everyone is in bed and i've logged on to the landline with my truty G4 laptop, slower speed but at least i can listen to music and the damn thing doesn't crash every 5 mins......still gotta find those broadband discs tho........
